Nativity Scene

Wendy asked what was my Nativity Scene like?

Base:

The Rock solid Petrified Wood reminds us to rest on the rock of He, who accepted to rest on the wood for us!

Crib:

The coral crib symbolises the continuity of the life it holds dear and its power over death. Where there is no pollution (sin), young coral, like our faith, traditionally grows over the skeleton of their centuries old ancestors.

Baby Jesus:

As He comes to shape the world, it is fitting that the light of the world is shaped out of a candle to rekindle our faith.

Next to the star, a dark circle surrounded by white represents darkness being swallowed by light.

Finally, at the foot of the base the trinity of the wise man left their presents.

Gold fit for a king.
Incense to be used by a priest.
Myrrh to be buried as a man!

From day one, they sure had His number figured out!

After 2006 years, do we yet?

LA VIE... (Life...)

La Vie

A travers la lumière de Dieu,
(By God’s light)

Nous sommes les miroirs de ce que nous aimons.
(we reflect all we love most)

Tantôt sur les sommets
(At times on mountain peaks)

Tantôt au ras de la mer.
(at times at sea level)

Tantôt le ciel nous invite vers l’infini
(At times the sky invites us to gaze into infinity)

Tantôt dans un tunnel ! Est-ce là que tout fini ?
(At times in a tunnel ! Is that where it all ends?)

Tantôt avec force nous soufflons notre joie
( At times we forcefully vent our joy)

Tantôt avec effroi Nous soupirons notre désarroi !
(At times we sigh with utterly cold despair)

Mon Dieu ! Notre Roi !
Tu as porté notre croix !
Alors en toi seul
Augmente notre foi !
(God our king !
You carried our cross
In you alone
Let us have faith)

Tantôt
Qu’on tente haut
(May we Aim high)

Qu’on ouvre toutes les portes
(May we open all doors)

Voila tout ce qui importe !
(that is what matters most Jonathan)

What is God’s Christmas Wish To Us?

Do you hear what I Hear?
Do you see what I see?
A child! A child.
But Who is He?
A child so Mild!
Who can He Be?

To Hear - I closed my mouth.
To see – I closed my eyes.
And listened to the skies.
I heard the angels singing
I heard bells ringing.

I heard a voice say
This is the day
The Lord has made
Rejoice and be glad

With my son Jesus I give you my divinity.
Will you give me your humanity?
I can also give you eternity.
Will you give me your time?

I will give you redemption.
Will you give me your weary body?
I will give you my love.
Will you give me your broken heart?
I will give you my ALL
Will you give me your nothingness?

After 2006 years,
Are we ready to hasten to listen?
Do you hear what I hear?
Do you see what I see?
A child! A child!
May we be as Mild!

Again I heard the angels singing:
Peace to the world
The Lord is come!
Who are we? Who are we?

Are we ready to take up the refrain:
Here I am Lord.
Is it I lord?

Listen to His voice
Make the right choice
And Rejoice and be glad
For God is our Dad

Peace on earth to all man of God’s Will.

God's Christmas wish to us is my Christmas wish to All.

A Blessed Christmas

&

A healthy New Year!

A Humble Prayer Written by Eve

I say it every day. It is in keeping with my post: ‘Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence’ and one of the reasons I love Eve so much. Her prayer speaks of her infinite love and trust in the Divine. It is most appropriate under our present circumstances.

As I already told you, Eve has a uniquely beautiful heart. She is always ready to give and asks for so little for herself! I would so love to make her happy for ever. She deserves it so, so very much.

Contrary to appearances and to what the misinformed might believe, Eve is a much better person than I am. An old wise priest understood and readily recognized that. He told me that Eve will probably have a much higher place in heaven than I. I pray that she forgives me all my selfishness and offences and that sooner rather than later: ‘Son étoile filante échouera au creux de ma main’!

She has taught me so much about authentic love!

Je me recueille
Au Coeur de ta puissance
Et me livre à toi,
Telle la vague au rivage.

Tu me cueilles
Au cœur de ma faiblesse,
Fruit gorgé de souffrance
Que tu combles d’ivresse.

Je me courbe et frissonne
Sous tes cieux protecteurs,
Tu vibres et résonnes
Dans mes fibres en détresse.

Je te respire
Aux carrefours de ma vie,
Tu es mon sauveur, mon Dieu,
Mon premier et mon dernier cri.

(I humbly surrender to your power Lord … You know how to convert my weaknesses and pains into joy… When I bow under your protection, you make my distraught soul vibrate with your love. I inhale you Lord at every crossroad of my life. You are my Savior, my God. I called your name with my first breath and I will call it with my last!)

First American Title... Book Distributor Letter

Re: 'First American Title To Injustice'

Dear Madam/Sir,
I herein enclose your product submission form together with a copy of my book.

You ask why do I believe that the book has strong sales potential?

The book exposes flawed legal minds and a major player in the voracious title insurance industry as they eventually all participated in a snowballing fraudulent transaction.

Name recognition:

First American Title
… is a household name.

It has been the subject of recent Congress hearings.
It has been sued by various States as reported in the press across the US.
Forbes (November 13, 2006) has a lengthy article and an editorial on First American.

Hagens Berman… is also a well known name covered in press reports across the US.

They have been involved in a number of landmark class action cases in America such as:
‘Big Tobacco’, Enron, and the current Average Wholesale Price litigation going on in Boston against the Pharmaceutical Industry to name but a few!

This book offers another perspective into some of the underlying reasons for the wins and losses scored in the courts of law. Indeed in today’s virtual world, the notions of right or wrong are too often superseded by motions of law that convert the illegal into the legal.

Leclezio:

The author shares the name ‘Leclezio’ with his cousin, the well known author.

The Topic is hot and current.

Finally the book leaves the reader with a compelling spiritual message. The Truth, the Light and the way are the only way!

Marketing:

The author is hoping to have interviews on various TV shows including Oprah as well as press reviews.

Excerpts:

“I hope that through this book, through the American Congress and through the court of public opinion, the lawlessness of a few will end up serving the best interests of the many.” (p. 141)

“We further hope that a greater awareness of how flawed the American judicial system can be, may rescue others from potential despair at the hands of that same poor system. The laws of man, regardless of their presumed might should never ever be viewed as automatically right.” P.211

Because: “…the devils of despair are so hard at work at the anvils of evil.” P.197

“May our family’s suffering at the hands of Hagens and Berman and First American open a window on universal misery. May the poor, hungering for justice, point to the spiritual dearth of the opulent. May the anguish of those who are condemned to live in penury, expose the decaying heart of those who languish in the lap of luxury.”

You further asked that I wtite a short note about myself.

I could not do so any better than Bhishmadev Seebaluck has already done in his preface to the above book.

However, on a personal note, I will simply mention that I left Mauritius 41 years ago. In the course of those long years I learnt that to truly live, we can never leave forever.

Eventually in the autumn of our life, we experience this urge to return to our roots. We need to allow our soul to once again feel its native soil and to tap deep into the spring from where our very life sprung. In my opinion, only then is our soul equipped to live an eternal summer when our human nature finally dons on its cold winter garment.

When it was first published in August 2006, my book appeared to be a lone voice against a wild multi billion dollar corporation running away in the general wilderness of American big business. But Divine Providence willed that in its November 13, 2006 issue, Forbes magazine picked up on the very same notes of greed and legal lawlessness that I refer to in my book. And luckily when Forbes sings the whole business world tunes in!

For your information, I enclose copies of my letter to Forbes and the recent letter that accompanied my book to various members of the US Congress. In their ‘Readers Say’ section, Forbes published my recommendation to distribute their article broadly across the US. From tiny Mauritius, may my book now be also widely distributed throughout the world to put the American concept of ‘Justice for all’ in its true perspective.

I wish you a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Most Sincerely,

Louis Leclezio.

First American Title’s James J. Dufficy

Copy of Message posted on Yahoo/Finance/FAF/Message Board

Come on Duff duff the tuff puff, puff guy – Aren’t you the shark fafexec refers to? The bloodthisty 'litigate everything' attorney ? Glad to know you read this Yahoo/Finance/FAF message board.

Check out your picture on our blog (http://www.lleclezio.blogspot.com/)

There is uncanny mental telepathy between fafexec and us. Coincidentally I put your picture up on the wall the same day fafexec put his post on the board!

No wonder you are scrambling by sending ill thought out mail to me in order to protect your murky waters!

You thought that you could get away through corruption. But you misjudged the power of the truth. Quit blundering – Just do the right thing even if and when it goes against your predatory nature! Good luck sharky.

Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence

Dear Children and Grand Children,

As you know, I have been urging you to read the above book published by Tan Books, written by Abbé Jean Baptiste Saint Jure and Abbé Claude de la Colombière and translated into English by Prof. Paul Garvin.

Why? Because it is the secret of peace and happiness!

“Non pas un simple clin d’oeil ou d’yeux – Mais un clin Dieu!”

As you will recall, on Friday October 13, 2006, we went to the Dombes region in France to hunt and fish. There we met our friends who returned on Friday from Paray le Monial where they had been to pray at the site where father Claude had stressed the importance of a special devotion towards the Blessed Sacrament.

You will further recall that Lou took your mother to Paray le Monial a few years ago and Mommy raved about the deep spiritual aspect of her visit there!

After a successful hunt on Saturday October 14, we decided to go to mass at the Cathedral in Ars on Sunday. There we prayed by the uncorrupted body of Abbe Jean Vianney, dearly remembered as the Saintly Curé of Ars. My Grand Mother, Jeanne Leclezio had a great devotion towards him and I felt truly blessed to attend mass there!

Just over a week later, on Tuesday October 24, I decided to go spend a week at the monastery up the French Alps. After being warmly welcomed by the ‘moniales’ and being shown my ‘ermitage’, I decided to dig through my briefcase of religious literature for something to read during my retreat. I am ashamed to say that with all the distractions in Mauritius, other than pulling out my Bible, my St. Paul’s Calendar, my copy of ‘Living Faith’ and the books of Saints, I had not been through the rest of the briefcase ever since we had left the US!

Now! At first, I did not recognize the first book that I brought out. “Trustful Surrender to Divine Providence!” Later I recalled that while Eve was sorting out all the books to put in storage, she did show me that one and said: This one is so small, here I’ll put it in your briefcase! So there it was! I was knocked over when I paged through it. I found that it had been written by Abbe Claude (coincidence) and Abbe Jean Baptiste and fTo go beyond mere coincidence, it was the constant companion of – Yes!!! The Saintly Curé d’Ars!

What timing! What a ‘Clin Dieu’!

Since then I have been blessed with lots more ‘Clin Dieu’! And I am most thankful and peaceful in the knowledge that God’s justice and not man’s will prevail!

As you all know, I providentially received a ‘key’ email from James J. Dufficy of First American Title! Re: “No duty to do the correct thing” (Dufficy) What a nugget! After so many years, I finally have in writing from him the only piece of documentary evidence we were missing!!!

And, my dear children, yesterday and today the readings in ‘Living Faith’ echo your own voices urging me to persevere until Peace prevails through Justice!

Yesterday’s reading: Luke 21:14,19: “You are not to prepare your defense before hand…By your perseverance you will secure your lives.” God give me the courage to act upon my faith in Your Absolute Truth and Your Justice.

Today’s reading: “ I experience this refreshment each time I choose to do what I know in my heart of hearts is the ‘right thing’ to do. I especially receive this refreshment when I chose to do something that I do not especially want to do, but realize that I must do to live as a person of integrity!” Spirit of God, refresh my soul by helping me make choices that reflect your love and goodness!

May Duff, duff the tuff puff, puff guy read that and discover the joy of such peace.

To date, people commenting on my book found the story of First American shocking, outrageous, enlightening and inspiring. A lawyer received the further impetus he needed from it to launch a class action against First American Corporation!

Yet, James J. Dufficy, as if to underscore his shady and callous character claims that his family, his friends and himself found the book to be comical.

After already costing the First American Corporation millions of dollars in lost credibility through his greed and poor judgment, the first time round, he is again setting the scene to cost them hundreds of millions of dollars more.

I hope that the press and FAF investors find Duff, duff’s puff puffs of hot air as comical as he claims he found my book to be!

In his email, Dufficy allowed his personal greed and vanity to impair his judgment. His ill thought outburst and vain attempt at righteous self defense caused him to place his personal interest ahead of the corporation and its stockholders. It is that same attitude that made him think that I should accept $750,000 or 0.10cents on the dollar in order to clear First American of participating in fraud. Furthermore, at the time his ridiculous offer was based on a most conservative appraisal of $13,000,000.

That was a far cry from the $27.5 million appraisal First American concurred with when their greed suckered them into a fraudulent transaction.

The Miraculous Medal Rue du Bac Paris

Dear Children,

Your great grand mother, Jeanne Leclezio had a great devotion to Catherine Laboure. She inspired me to share the following story with you:
On November 22, 1982, in the old city of Damascus, within walking distance of the House of Ananias (where Paul became the light of Christ to the Gentiles), a strange new light began to shine, dim at first, but with the grace of God it has become a beacon to re-light the world.
A young girl named Myrna prayed over the sickbed of her sister-in-law, Layla, who was very ill. Two other women prayed with her, an Orthodox woman, and a Moslem woman. As they prayed, the Moslem woman noticed light coming from Myrna's hands. [Myrna didn't notice it.]
After the light, oil began to flow right out of her skin. Mayada shouted at her to look at her hands. Myrna, confused, had no idea what was happening. Mayada quickly told her to put her hands on Layla, who was instantly cured. And so the light began to shine in this bewildered young woman. Myrna had just turned 18 and had only been married six months.
November 27th is the anniversary of the apparition of the Virgin Mary to Saint Catherine Labouré and the Miraculous Medal. It is also known as the beginning of the Age of Mary. This will become more and more relevant as this story unfolds.
At any rate, on November 27, 1982, a three-inch tall picture of the Virgin Mary and Christ Child in a cheap plastic frame began to exude oil. The oil flowed out from the bottom of the icon and onto the floor next to Nicolas and Myrna's bed. Oil again appeared on Myrna's hands. Myrna, whose name means Mary, heard a woman's soft voice as if from inside a seashell: “Mary, do not be afraid. I am with you. Open the doors to your home and do not deprive anyone from seeing me. Light a candle for me.
Myrna thought she was imagining things. She was afraid to tell anyone. Two minutes went by as she thought about the words. Suddenly the lights in the house went out. Myrna had to light a candle. The moment she lit it the lights came back on. She remembered the words: “Light a candle for me.” She wished she had done it right away. The icon poured out oil continuously for four days. They gathered the oil in bowl after bowl. From that day to this thousands of candles have been lit in the house and all over the world for the Virgin Mary. The light is getting brighter each year.

Jungfraujoch – A 5 Generation Tradition

In the early 1920s a ship set sail from Port Louis, Mauritius on its way to France. Aboard were Louis Leclezio, (born 1873) his wife Jeanne, (born 1883) their nine children, the family cook, Goheen, the butler, Parass and the maid, Laurence. The family settled in Paris and from there, for four years they traveled across France and Europe.

In 1893, in an era when international tourist travel was reserved for a privileged few, Adolf Guyer-Zeller promoted the idea to construct the pioneer of all mountain railways to the top of the Jungfraujoch reaching an altitude of 3454 meters! By 1912, some 19 years later, Adolf Guyer-Zeller had died of a heart attack. But his sons had completed the project their father had dreamt of and the Jungfrau Railway began taking passengers to this Bernese Alp wonderland of year round ice and snow.

Thus in 1924, my grand father, Louis, and my father, Fernand together with his brothers, Phillippe and Jean, boarded the Jungfrau Railway to be transported to the heart of this glacier world on the very roof of Europe. Back then, who, could have ever imagined that people from the distant tropical shores of Mauritius would ever venture to those glorious icy summits at 3454 meters? Neither could they have imagined that 82 years later their descendants would join tourists from all over the world to experience these summits of highs at such great heights.

But is reality not repeatedly born out of dreams? Through the years, I had kept alive the stories passed down by my father, about their memorable visit to the top of Europe when he was only eighteen years old. And just in case I could not picture much of it exactly so, there was a picture to attest to their feat in those days of familiar family glory. The picture showed my grand father and three of his sons with their feet in ordinary shoes tramping through snow and standing on ice. I recalled asking questions like: “But your feet did not freeze?” Or “How difficult was it to breathe?” But my father always casually answered: “We were tough!” And then, he would invariably launch off into the story of the burly Swiss mountain guy who, looking at my grand father’s huge and solid hands had asked: “Sir, Can you please tell me how come the life lines are hoed so deeply in the palm of your hands?” And my grand father answered that those furrows mapping his love giving hands must have been chiseled there to tell the story of the multitude of furrows that had been trenched across the hot volcanic Mauritian soil to grow sugar cane.

That story and the picture made such an impression on me, that while I was growing up on the white beaches of Mauritius under its palm trees in the gentle warm breeze of the Easterlies, I always dreamt of also experiencing some day that permanently frozen white wonderland.

In 1991, 67 years after my grand father and father had been there, my childhood dream would finally become reality. My wife, our son Louis and I boarded the cogwheel train in Interlaken. We were on our way to discover that while dreams can often father reality, reality can sometimes take us a lot farther than our dreams can. On the train, the spectacular route first took us up to Kleine Scheidegg (altitude 2061 metres) located at the foot of the notorious Eiger North Wall.
From there, we changed trains and the Jungfrau Railway relentlessly climbed to the station at Eigergletscher, well known for its mountain restaurant and polar dog kennels.

One of the most inspiring sections of the railway line was the contrast offered by the 7km long, dark tunnel hewn through the rock of the Eiger and Mönch mountains. There, in the darkness of the tunnel, we marveled at the visionary bright minds that had the solid courage to conceive, to engineer and to blast and dig their way through sheer rock until the line emerged in the amazing grace of the horizonless world to be found at the end of the tunnel. As we came out of the pitch black tunnel into that light inundated snow white world, we considered the sharp contrasts along the journey and we felt like we had transited from the dark bowels of the earth to the glory of the womb of heaven!

A short five minute stop at two intermediate stations, Eigerwand and Eismeer situated in caverns blasted from the solid rock had prepared us for the fathomless beauty of the last leg of our historical journey! Both caverns have panorama windows that had launched us light-headedly into the breathtaking views that stretched deep into this Bernese Alpine wonder world.

When after a forty five minute ride, we arrived at the top of Europe, we first gazed speechless in awesome wonder at the views that extend as far as the summits of the Vosges Mountains in France to the eerie depths of the Black Forest in Germany. There, in order to celebrate and commemorate our twenty fifth wedding anniversary, I knelt on the Great Aletsch Glacier, longest ice stream in Europe (22 kilometer) and sang ‘Devant Jesus’ to my wife, Wendy! It was the song that had been sung to us on our wedding day at the Emmanuel Cathedral in Durban, South Africa! While I was singing, our son Louis was immortalizing this love scene on his video camera. In rhythm with the notes, Wendy and I were moving our arms softly up and down in tune with our love on a boundless flight into eternity! Some of the tourists looked on. They were probably thinking that the rarified air was responsible for this atmosphere of euphoric infinite love that united us with the Divine.

The song over, I stood up and we headed to the Ice Palace. On our way, we vowed and declared that some day, may be for our fortieth year anniversary, we would come back with all our family. In the ice palace, with our feet grounded on firm ice we felt that we had been on earth as close as we could ever be to God. While we wondered if that had been the same feeling our father and grandfather had tried to convey to us, we wanted our children and grandchildren some day to share our feelings about God’s limitless heavenly magnificence and munificence.

On October 6, 2006, once again, sitting on the Jungfrau train, I heard the couple opposite us conversing with our 7 year old Bernadette. They were from Washington State. They lived in the same neighborhood as Bernadette and … Yes! They were going up to the Jungfraujoch to celebrate their fortieth wedding anniversary!!!
I immediately joined in the conversation and told the retired Boeing engineer and his wife, how I was on the train with three of our children, their spouses and ten of our seventeen grand children to fulfill a fifteen year old dream! Celebrate our fortieth wedding anniversary with the family on top of Europe! I thanked God and told the couple that their presence next to us and their own celebration, confirmed that although our ‘Mama’ could not be physically with us, she was definitely most present in spirit!

In the ice palace we all marveled at the size of the corridors and rooms carved out of sheer ageless ice together with a wide variety of other ‘theme’ carvings! While the family meandered through the labyrinths of icy walls exploring the caverns carved out of this gigantic glacier, I stood frozen still in front of a statue of ‘Father Time’ sculpted ‘life size’ in the timeless glacial ice. Mesmerized, I looked fixedly at him. I thanked God for all those who over time had worked overtime and given up their lives, including those who had died eagerly digging through the Eiger and Monch rock munching their way deeper and deeper into the tunnel so we could be together on that day savoring this particular moment in time.

Lost in thought, I was brought back to reality by the stone cold voice of ‘Father Time’. It appeared to be reverberating through the ice corridors. I was not dreaming. To be sure that I was not spacing out, I watched his icy jaws move up and down as he mouthed the words: History! Tradition! Love! Is that what brought you here?

With my eyes full of joyful tears, I nodded a silent yes. ‘Father Time’ cracked an icy smile and said: “You deserve to know some of my secrets. I encapsulate them in the timeline written within my icy bosom. On your way back down to the bottom of my mountain look deep into the crevasses of the glacier. You may find our ageless version of the modern day digital memory card. Activate it and decode it and you will find frozen in the ice flows of all times the picture of all those who have come to this glacial world. For as man comes to gaze at this frozen world wonder and take my picture; I, in turn take snaps of the wonder that is each man and woman created in the image of God! Should you not find or be unable to read my memory card, down in Interlaken, you will find an ancient burly Swiss man carved out of a single piece of wood. Look at the deep lifelines carved within the palms of his hand. They tell a story. Tell him that I, ‘Father Time’, sent you to hear his story. He will then explain to you the origin of those deep life lines.

Back in Interlaken, we found the ancient burly Swiss man carved out of a single piece of wood with the deep life lines carved within the palms of his hand. When I told him that ‘Father Time’ had sent us, he raised his chin, smiled and began to speak: “You see kids, we all come from a single and same lifeline of deep unselfish love. However depending how hard we work and how much we give of ourselves to others, the lifelines of our giving or withholding hands become more or less pronounced. I got mine while giving the best I could picking away at the hard icy rock through the tunnel that leads through the Eiger and Monch.

As we listened speechless, he went on to say: “Decades ago I met a colossus of a man from a distant tropical isle. He was also a very giving man. Indeed he was the only other man I ever met who had lifelines as deep as mine!

Could it be that you are here today because of your heredity? ‘Father Time’ up there on the mountain has our picture within his bosom. He sent me an sms telling me that you looked like the man I met once upon a time from a distant tropical isle and that I was free to talk to you. While you were standing deep in thought in front of him “Father Time’ read in the lifelines across the palms of your hands. He found that according to your DNA, you share common genes of love for family, for tradition and for history with the man I met from that distant tropical isle! So, there you are friend. That is why I am confiding in you! Now, before you leave, ‘Father Time’ also told me, to be sure to tell you to pray that you pass that same love, that rare source of all wealth to the next generations. He was most pleased to note in his timeless bosom that you appear well on your way to doing so and that your progeny is keenly following the example set by your ancestors!

With much timeless love, constant hope and enduring faith, please permit me to join ‘Father Time’, your ancestors, your children, your grand children present and absent in prayer. Together we will pray that 10, 20, 80 and any number of years from now this and other generations of your descendants will continue to uphold dearest to them, your Catholic family traditions and its profound love for God and His creation from the glacial heights to the tropical heat of your shores!

The mountain has revealed all this to you Through ‘Father Time’ and I so that in turn you can all go and tell it to all the other mountains of the world over the hills and every where…

Thank you for your visit. Thank you for reading this through. Thank you for praying. Thank you for your Godly love of ALL Creation! Now Listen........

Unedited Letter To Forbes re: First American Title

Re: “Inside America’s richest racket” Nov. 13, 2000

Dear Mr. Forbes,

I wish to applaud you, your magazine, Mr. William Baldwin and last but not least, Mr. Scott Woolley for his factual and long overdue article on the title industry.

Of course, ALTA can preach all it wants from its pulpit to its limited gallery in a desperate effort to save the life of the goose that laid the golden eggs. But it is high time for the press and Congress to can those voraciously greedy geese and turn them into ‘truffled foie gras’. The American public has fed them long enough and it is now entitled to large servings of paté through a class action suit.

In fact Mr. S. Woolley has only scratched the surface by only investigating one aspect of the title industry. ALTA cannot dispute the fact that for many years First American Title has paid as little as 3% of its revenues in claims. Nor can ALTA refute the arrogant statement of a First American senior exec, Tom Brusca, that his company only made that 3% payment to justify its existence but could even avoid doing so at its election!

Unfortunately, there are many other abusive aspects to First American. In my opinion, the worst has been the blatant ‘creative accounting’ it has engaged in over the years. This practice coupled with outright false statements by its chief executives at stockholders’ meetings has enabled FAF to unduly inflate its paper to use it to buy “companies cheap”!

I do have some past most revealing statements by Kennedys, Kermot and Klemens on tape. I could make them available to your office should you wish to follow up.

In the meantime I am glad to forward a copy of my recently published book to you, to your editor, Mr. W. Baldwin and to your fine reporter Mr. S. Woolley. I recommend that at the very least, you read pages: 15 – 19; 177 – 184. The quotes found there, reveal the real reason for the existence of the First American ‘featherbedders’!

Most sincerely,

Louis Leclezio.
P.S. Scott Woolley's article and William Baldwin's comments in "Sidelines" deserves to be broadly published across the U.S. Congratulations

What greater wealth… Than family strength

And unity!

We missed Kitty! She is expecting her seventh child, our eighteenth grand child!
Family in Europe. Family at 4000 meters on top of Europe at the Jungfraujoch. Three of our four daughters and our son.

Blessed with such a progeny, I do think about our legacy to our children and grand children often.

This morning, Steve Givens writing in ‘Living Faith’ focuses on what truly matters:
“As children of God, we cannot measure our lives by the inheritances we leave our children, the businesses we build or the works of art we create. Rather, we toil in vain and leave an empty inheritance if we fail to exemplify a vibrant faith to our children.

God, may you be my inheritance and my legacy.

What Greater Wealth... Than to Inspire a Child

More comments on First American Title

Hi Dad,

I love you and am so thankful to have your book... I was too young at the time to grasp the happenings... I keep thinking to myself... when we all went to court together, expecting so much from Hagens and Berman and getting so little from them... I thought I was too young and ignorant to understand... I thought may be I didn't get what they did to you... Now I understand that I did get it and that they were a very disappointing act, even to a 17 year old. For what that's worth....

I am so proud of your book and am sorry for any headaches that may have been caused by any of us along the way... Everything we’lI do for you is out of pure love and concern. That being said, I say, Go get 'em, keep up the good work and Congratulations on a job well done. You never give up... Know that you have passed that down to your next generation and so on. Please let me know what I can do to help you with your book... I love you.

I will send your cd soon in hopes it will bring you some joy and some laughter.

Have a good day and on your many walks, walk with your head high and shoulders back, knowing that you, an immigrant, a foreigner, stirred up a big pile of you know what in this here melting pot... Congrats and Cheers :-)~ !!!!!!!

I'll call you in the AM...

xoxo

Curious George asked about the Forbes article

Curious George, you asked for a link to the Forbes on line article.
Search for title insurance racket; click on the relevant article; subscribe (it’s free); enjoy great reporting.

In my opinion that Forbes article deserves to be picked up by media and published broadly across the US and in every part of the world where First American Title is now attempting to export and introduce its corrupt ways.

Forbes reports on First American Title…

The timing of the Forbes article coinciding with the release of my book and my trip to Europe could not have been better planned. I was glad to have the opportunity to present my book to some of the most influential bankers in Europe just 10 days before Forbes article came out. It confirms virtually all I had to say. Poor Parker and Dufficy aka. Duff, duff the tuff puff, puff guy! Let's all stick them in the eye!

Since Kennedy, Dufficy and First American stole a few million dollars from me, it has cost them millions more. And it is likely to continue costing them lots and lots more. Especially so now that the American legislators, the business press and the public is wizening up to First American unamerican ways, it is causing them to endeavor to exploit foreign markets!

My book ‘First American Title To Injustice’ does not only vindicate me. But as someone wrote on the FAF/Yahoo message board: “…it (The Forbes article) comes right out and describes today's title insurance industry as out-and-out thievery. And this from a staunchly pro-business magazine -- not Ralph Nader, not Bob Hunter, not Ken Harney/Wash Post, not Joe Treaster/NYT, but Forbes.”

“…when Forbes begins to sound like Public Citizen, the Fat Lady is tuning up.”
Also published on the Yahoo/FAF message board.

How many people have read about First American Title?

How many more will? How many more should?

I am so proud of my 11 year old grand daughter. The following is the mail I just received from her!

Hey Boppa,
I just wanted to tell you that i am reading your book and i was amazed at how cruel First American Title was to you. I was telling my social studies teacher about it and about everything that has happened and she was like wow...this sounds like a book i would like to read, is there any chance there is an extra copy i could read and i was like yeah my mom brought back a whole box full of them, and you could buy one if you would like. She was so happy and so she said yeah...bring me a copy tomorrow and i will buy it off of you. So i just wanted to let you know about that because i thought that it was kind of cool.
love you always

MAURITIUS! Truly one nation under GOD…

Dear All,

Soon after my return from the US to Mauritius, I commented on the deep interfaith respect that is so evident on the island.

I remarked that Mauritius, its Government leaders and its multiracial and multi denominational population sets a most edifying example to the rest of a world that is so torn apart through lack of neighborly charity and love of God.

By contrast, here in Mauritius the profound tolerance and gracious reverence towards the various religious bodies ensure that peace, justice and joy blossom abundantly.

My past posts -: Sunday Sept. 10: “Along the way people of all creeds and color had set up tents to shade the pilgrims from sun or rain while offering free refreshments.” – Saturday August 26: “…on the occasion of the feast of St. Louis, the patron saint of our capital, Port Louis, the bishop celebrated mass… Present at the mass were the Honorable Prime minister, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam and Mrs V. Ramgoolam, the president of the Republic of Mauritius and his wife, the vice president and a large number of ministers and dignitaries. It was edifying to see the respect with which Indians, Muslims, Buddhists etc. attended this 90 minute celebration” – Tuesday August 15 “Never in my life have I seen the feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother the Virgin Mary being celebrated as I saw it today in Mauritius! Yes in Mauritius! A predominantly Indian and Islamic country, freedom of religion exists to such an extent that August 15th is a national holiday in honor of Our Blessed Mother!!!” – All reflect this awesome sense of a prayerful nation under God. It is what impressed me the most upon my return to fervent Mauritius!

I was glad to note that this personal feeling was reinforced today September 19th in a press article:

The U.S. bureau of Democracy Human Rights and Labor issued a report on September 15 under the heading: ‘Mauritius International Freedom Report 2006’ It states that the Mauritian Government ensures that religious freedom is a priority and a must in its society.

So much so that every year the Government offers subsidies to various denominations!!!

America has much to learn from the Mauritian model if it genuinely wants to promote worldwide Peace. The U.S. should not merely be content to report. Above all, the U.S. Government should find the courage to make every effort to follow the leadership of the wise and well blessed exemplary Mauritian Government.

Proud to be a Mauritian!

Google - First American Title Ins. - Discrimination?

First American Title Insurance Company has been caught over the years in a series of scandals resulting in huge fines in various states. Coming increasingly under the radar screens of the law for abusive and repeated scams in the U.S., First American Title is now setting up shop under foreign skies.
Although its image is indelibly tarnished in North America, First American Title obviously wishes to project a clean one to the international community.
In the U.S., James J. Dufficy pretends in legal forums that First American Title wishes to be transparent and actually welcomes the scrutiny by various authorities. That scrutiny has resulted in a bevy of multi million dollar fines imposed by multiple states in civil cases. Some states are considering filing long overdue criminal cases against the company and its executives.
It is not surprizing and evident that in a most public international forum such as Google, First American wishes to be totally opaque!
Indeed, has First American muzzled Google and interfered with freedom of speech so the international public cannot form an objective opinion about First American Title?
If so, is Google’s present policy statement misleading and should it be revised?
Google Policy Statement: “Our intent is to represent the content of the internet fairly and accurately…” …”“Google views the comprehensiveness of our search results as an extremely important priority. We're committed to providing thorough and unbiased search results for our users.”
Can the international public rely on such statements?
Or
Is Google in fact catering in a discriminatory fashion to big time advertisers such as First American Title?
Is the international public precluded from getting the full story in an unbiased fashion?
Are big time advertisers such as First American Tile coercing Google to give them prominent positions in search results while dropping sites that reveal unwanted truths about them?
Consider the evidence in a Google – First American Title Insurance search:
Up to a few weeks ago a search involving First American Title Insurance Company through Google’s search engines would bring up unbiased results. The suits by the various states could be found within the first three pages. So could other adverse comments from the public come up on First American Title.

Unfortunately I noticed that my URL was dropped from Google’s search engines within a few days of searches bringing up accurate although adverse legal info about First American Title and James J Dufficy!

I complained to Google and the site was soon indexed once again and reinstated. Having experienced First American’s devious manipulation of Yahoo in the past, I copied the Google results of the various searches.

Example:
On August 24 2006 a search for First American Title would bring up the following:
WebResults 1 - 10 of about 297 for first american title + leclezio. (0.23 seconds)Tip: Save time by hitting the return key instead of clicking on "search"Leclézio
To underscore my claims about First American Title, I include some links to recent ... So in typical persistent Leclezio fashion, Eve decided to add her ...lleclezio.blogspot.com/ - 61k - Cached - Similar pages
Yet, the following is the result of a search on the same subject on September 1, 2006:
Sorry, no content found for this URLWebYour search - cache:TCDSAqFBC18J:lleclezio.blogspot.com/ first american title + leclezio - did not match any documents.
Likewise a search on James J Dufficy on August 24 2006 reveals:
Web Images Groups News more »Advanced Search PreferencesWebResults 11 - 20 of about 950 for james j dufficy . (0.12 seconds)Leclézio
In a letter addressed to me, dated March 24th 1998, James J. Dufficy had stated that his company had no duty vis-à-vis the public to do the ‘correct’ thing. ...lleclezio.blogspot.com/ - 61k - Cached - Similar pages
But again on September 1, 2006, the same search hits a blank!!!
Web Images Groups News more »Advanced Search PreferencesSorry, no content found for this URLWebYour search - cache:TCDSAqFBC18J:lleclezio.blogspot.com/ james j dufficy - did not match any documents.

Since then, all my requests addressed to Google to re-index and to reinstate my URL have been ignored!
Similarly, all other info that could impact First American negatively has been either deleted or relegated to the ‘back of the bus’.
Consider Mr. Jonathan Rosen’s post dealing with First American Title’s consistently crooked ways. Nowhere could I find it within the first 20 or more pages of a ‘First American Title search.

In my opinion this is a disservice to the public who cannot under those circumstances rely on Google’s policy as presently stated to form an accurate opinion of First American Title.
Is that yet another First American sham acting in collusion with Google?
Is Google pandering to their big bucks by granting them not only a prominent position but by also altogether dropping sites considered to be hurtful by such shameful clients?
If Google has elected to cow down to those filthy ‘big bucks’, then Google should in all fairness disclose in its policy statement that a company such as First American has paid to monopolize the first ‘x’ number of pages. Accordingly, those first ‘x’ number of pages do not accurately reflect public sentiment. Unbiased and comprehensive search results can only be found starting on page ‘y’ of Google searches.
Failing this Google is only assisting First American to perpetrate yet one more fraud not only on Americans but on the international community also this time round.
I hope and pray that the more First American attempts to suppress the broad dissemination of the whole truth about them, the more the public at large will seek to find out why and will demand to know!
A prominent judge with political clout and a few highly respected attorneys have opined that they hope that my book ‘First American Title to Injustice’ will serve as a catalyst to change the way a Title Insurance company like First American operates in America!
Indeed the release of my book and excerpts from it on various web sites could have hardly been timed better! Since it coincides with an ocean of scandals that only serve to further validate the facts disclosed in the book.
Therefore it is hoped that my book will serve to not only change the abusive and mercenary way in which First American does business, but that it also causes Google to either review and publish a new policy statement as suggested above!
I look forward to Google resuming fair and comprehensive reporting in the near future.
Short excerpts from my book: ‘First American Title To Injustice’ can be viewed http://www.leclezio.biz/ or longer excerpts should be available through the Google book partner program.

Worship...

Dear Children and Grand children, I wish I could upload this sega on this site. The words and the beat of the music are both captivating and inspiring.

“Sa séga la mo kompoz li pou rémercié per Laval pou tou di bien ki li fin fer pou nou.

Tou lai banané le 9 septembre, 4 ère bo matin mo lévé mo allé, mais na pas kroire mo alle la sasse tangue, fer kouma mwa owa va konné. Dépi la veille lor tou simin ena tapaze kouma carnaval, dimande nimporte kel morrissien li a va dire ou li alle prille per Laval..."

Translation from Créole to English:

Serge Lebrasse: “I composed this Sega in gratitude to Father Laval for all his intercessions for us Mauritians!

Every year, on September 9th I get up at 4:00 AM and I start walking. Do not hazard a guess that I am on my way to hunt hedgehogs. Follow me and you will find out where I am heading?

Starting on September 8th along all Mauritian highways and byways there is a carnival atmosphere. Ask any Mauritian where is he headed? He will joyfully answer that he is on his way to pray at Father Laval’s sepulcher.

Who knows how numerous are the miracles attributed to father Laval or how many have been delivered from misery, thanks to Father Laval? The sense of peace at his mausoleum is indeed conducive to prayer! Indeed in Mauritius, inspired by Father Laval, no one pays attention to color or religion. We are all but one nation under God on our pilgrimage to go and pray. Father Laval was so universally good that he never thought of sorting coffee beans according to color!

Today, thanks to father Laval, both the lame and the blind can sing aloud that they have been cured through prayer!

So much so, that any day of the week, people head on to Father Laval’s shrine with candles and flowers in hand to offer their hopeful novenas. Unfortunately over one hundred years ago, God called Father Laval to His side. But to us Mauritians who need him so much, he will forever be present.

Dear All,

I hope that the words of that popular Sega can convey the reverence all Mauritians feel towards Father Laval!

Marcel Cariapen, the kind owner of the famous ‘Poivron Restaurant’ invited me to accompany him on his annual pilgrimage to Father Laval. We first gathered at his house and after praying in front of a statue of the Immaculate Mary, we set off at 12:15 PM on our 16 mile journey.

What a trip that was, both for the body and the soul! Along the way people of all creeds and color had set up tents to shade the pilgrims from sun or rain while offering free refreshments. We prayed as we walked. Under the midday tropical sun I could visualize Jesus walking for forty days through the desert! Prompted by the Spirit to share in His life along the way, I integrated the mysteries of the rosary into our family lives and that of our friends. Example: One of the 5 Joyful Mysteries: ‘The Nativity’ – I thanked God that my grandmother called my dad Desire after Father Laval, since he was born on September 9th, Father Laval’s feastday!

One of the 5 Luminous Mysteries: ‘Changing water into wine’ – I asked God to continuously change the quality of our spirit through the ages so we can eventually reflect a truly great vintage in His image!

One of the 5 Sorrowful Mysteries: ‘The Agony in the Garden’ – Although our legs were getting weary and the soles of my feet were burning due to the chemo treatment, I realized how trivial that pain was when compared to all that Jesus humbled Himself to suffer at the hands of man to free our souls from sin.

One of the 5 Glorious Mysteries: “The Crowning of Mary – Queen of Heaven and Earth” I thanked God that at the end of life’s tunnels there is His glorious light we can all aspire too. I visualized the supernatural beauty Mama is a part of now as she exchanged her crown of thorns for one of light. I prayed that we get to share it all together some day!

Marcel’s family including the grandchildren came to meet us for 6:00 PM mass after which he drove us back home. They are a most beautiful family reminding me a lot of our own! I look forward to you meeting and tasting their superb food for body and soul on your next vacation here. Nathalie is expecting her 3rd child at about the same time as you Christine and their daughter Christine helps people who are suicidal when she is not working in the family operated restaurant!

On the way home, I simply had to ask Marcel to stop to take a picture of the statue of Father Laval set up under a special flood of light at the entrance to the Municipality Office of Port Louis for the occasion.

Can you imagine the uproar if any kind of religious symbol was ever placed outside a public building in the U.S.? Once again, I remind you that while tiny Mauritius has a predominantly Indian and Muslim population, it sets an example of interfaith tolerance and reverence that the world ought to learn from in order to become a better and safer place!

God bless you all. Hugs and kisses from Bopbops.

Let the whole world...

Dear Children and Grand Children,

Soon after my book came out, you have asked: “Why did you choose that particular picture for the back cover?”

Because in that picture I am surrounded by nothing other than pure air, sea, sky and sand. Thus, I am enveloped by everything that is in the middle of the shifting sands throughout the oceans of life.
In the waves, I can hear it all. In the sky and the sea, I can see it all. In the sand, I can write messages with my finger to send to you all.

Creation paves the way to God’s love. It is everywhere…

Ps. 33: 8-9: “Let the whole world fear Yahweh. Let all who live on earth revere Him! He spoke, and it was created. He commanded, and there it stood.”

:22: “Yahweh, let Your love rest on us as our hope has rested in You.
God blesses it all,

I love it all! I love you all!

First American Title...

First American Title…

Knowledge is key – Words shed light.

Keystar Publications and I will be launching our first volume at a book signing event on September 15th.

“May we continue to sow truth and love wherever we are led to plant it regardless of the quality of the soil. Remember that while an arid soil can produce sweet fruit, fertile fields can yield bitter and sour crops. So we must continue to sow everywhere as best we know. It is not important to find out who reaps which crop?”

After years of labor, I am glad that our first book has finally seen the light of day.

Those who have read it find it provocative and inspiring. The preface says it best: “This work is a penetrating ‘cri de coeur’ which reaches out to the reader and touches the innermost recesses of his heart. It beats all attempts at fiction writing.”
P. 20 – Excerpt: “As Dufficy was speaking, I could not help but think that in life there are obviously those who having a small profile engage in petty blue collar crime yet receive much attention. And then there are those who having a larger profile have no shame plundering millions of dollars in white collar crime. Yet, they manage through connections and the law to remain out of detention.

I further considered that regardless of the level of crime, common criminals share the same tools of the trade to break into somebody’s property and steal value – Blue collar criminals hammer and ax through doors and walls while white collar gangsters hammer and ax though documents and agreements.

In the end all criminals share a common objective. They all attempt to bag their haul in silence hoping that silence will somehow serve to squash the sin.

P. 50 – Excerpt: “Apparently the First American senior vice president for claims had endorsed that public company policy. In a letter addressed to me, dated March 24th 1998, James J. Dufficy had stated that his company had no duty vis-à-vis the public to do the ‘correct’ thing.”

P. 123 – Excerpt: “Then we prayed as we still do now, that some day before it is too late the Judge and lawyers such as Berman, will, like Bartimeus, turn away from the blinding law and its bitter fruits towards God and the Spirit and say: “Master, Lord Judge of all, we want to see…”!

P. 141 – Excerpt: “I hope that through this book, through the American Congress and through the court of public opinion, the lawlessness of a few will end up serving the best interests of the many.”

P. 176 – Excerpt: “We grasped that in the light of God we can question the dark actions of man, but through the dark actions of man we cannot question the light of God.”

P. 197 – Excerpt: Yet through God’s grace, we had refused to jump from a bridge. We had refused to yield to the devils of despair so hard at work at the anvils of evil.

With the book about to be widely distributed, I am more than ever hopeful and prayerful that sweet fruit will be harvested by many from an otherwise arid experience.

Good Reading, God bless us ALL!!! May His Justice come to pass...

Love God's Creation

Dear Children & Grand Children,
Today we went to ‘Le Souffleur’ near Savannah Savinia on the Mauritian south coast!

I had not been there for at least 42 years! I will let the pictures tell some of the story. As for the sound, it is breathtaking to listen to the rhythm of the sea breathing loud and deep through the cliff! The long air passages carved in the body of the rock connect this giant’s lungs way below towards the foot of the cliff to its nostrils facing up towards the sky. With each wave that comes in and goes out, you can hear the snoring of this sleeping black beauty resonating through the atmosphere as it inhales and exhales its deep gulps of air! We figured that he must have a chronic cold as a powerful spray jets out of his nostril high up into the sky each time he breathes out! I was blown away by this natural audio/visual Godly production!

We walked from ‘Le Souffleur’ to another natural wonder of Mauritius. Again I will let the photo tell the story. I remembered walking decades ago across that natural bridge spanning over the ocean below. In the heart of this tumultuous setting with the relentlessly crashing waves casting a Wagnerian note through the air, I was glad to capture the soothing colors of a peaceful rainbow shining against the dark volcanic rocky backstage.

Do you like the picture of this rare sea urchin we found washed up on the beach? We used its ‘ardoise’ quills to write on our blackboards when we were young!

That part of Mauritius is still fairly wild and it is not yet flooded by the ever increasing multitude of tourists that flock to its white sandy beaches.

I am glad to share those pics with you. I wish you were here now. As you can see, I am slowly recovering from the cancer surgery and the long exhausting chemo treatment. I am thankful to God for this extended lease of life. I love every minute of it and I absorb God’s beautiful creation like never before. Indeed, the more beauty I find on earth, the better I realize that it is all only a faint reflection of the magnificence Mama is now a part of in heaven. Thus I aspire for us all to share it some day. In the meantime, in gratitude, I ask God to grant me the grace and courage to joyfully accomplish some more of the works He has earmarked for me here.

God bless you all.

Love and kisses from Bopbops.
P.S. I could not post photos. I will try later. Love you ALL.

Love Life

Dear Children and Grand Children,

I told you yesterday how in today’s world, Mauritius is a rare and exemplary model for its reverence and profound respect towards multi denominational fervor.

I told you how on the occasion of the feast of St. Louis, the patron saint of our capital, Port Louis, the bishop celebrated mass assisted by some thirty priests. Present at the mass were the Honorable Prime minister, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam and Mrs V. Ramgoolam, the president of the Republic of Mauritius and his wife, the vice president and a large number of ministers and dignitaries. It was edifying to see the respect with which Indians, Muslims, Buddhists etc. attended this 90 minute celebration in a cathedral packed with people covering a broad spectrum of creed and color.

On August 13th 2006 my post urged us all to pray for our ancestor Francois Leclezio on the occasion of the 155th anniversary of his death. Today at Ste. Therese church in Curepipe, the priest invited us to pray for our genealogical tree. You know that I have been doing that practically daily for years. But today I thanked God particularly for our gift of faith spanning so many generations. While praying for the Leclezios, the Adams, the Whitakers, I asked that our generation adopt the following prayer as our family’s principle:

“May we continue to sow love wherever we are led to plant it regardless of the quality of the soil. Remember that while arid soil can produce sweet fruit, fertile fields can yield bitter and sour crops. Continue to sow as best you know for it is not important to know who gets to reap what crop?”

Thereafter I thanked God for His special blessing to have allowed us to erect a monument in memory of Mama right at the entrance of Holyrood cemetery.

Considering how our family’s faith has endured through the years, although it has so often been tested and suffocated by the vast material wealth that has been at the root of many a dispute, I prayed that God willing we may be allowed to erect similar monuments at cemeteries where our ancestors are buried in Mauritius.

Indeed the love of the Cross of Christ will help us thread our way through the eye of the needle.

Much love to you all. Hugs and kisses.

God bless.

First American Title ...

August 23 2006

Dear Children and Grand children,

Re: First American Title To Injustice.

We were complete strangers when we first met! But having worked closely with me over the last 8 months, the editor of my book has obviously felt deeply the stirring emotions our family went through. Indeed, he understands that we have been scarred for life by the actions of First American.

Here are some excerpts from what he wrote to me yesterday:

“My dear Louis,

I have been meaning to write this letter to you for quite some time now.

Like you, I am very anxiously waiting for the book to come out of press. I don’t know if the gynecologist who delivers a baby does so with the same expectation and restlessness as the father who has begotten it,but I can assure you that I am looking forward to seeing the first copy of the book with the same intensity as its author.

My dear Louis, it’s been a real pleasure interacting with you for the past eight months or so. Complete strangers, we have now been bound by the hands of destiny in a web of friendship which I hope will last.
When I fist saw the thickness of the manuscript which your fertile brain had produced, I felt quite apprehensive. But, by and by, I have greatly appreciated your readiness to listen to my suggestions and eventually agree to have it published in two separate volumes.

In a world where vultures of the caliber of First American and Hagens & Berman are constantly on the prowl for unsuspecting victims, it is gratifying to come across souls like you who are prepared to share whatever they have with others.

This thought in itself has more than compensated whatever effort I may have put in making your book see the light of day. You see, my dear Louis, it’s been a labour of love all through, a labour of love that requires no further compensation or payment.

The book is coming out soon, and I know you are now engaged in the herculean task of marketing it. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and watch the sales grow. I pray with all my heart that it achieves a very great success, for your own self-satisfaction and vindication.

In the meantime, here’s wishing you and your children and grandchildren the best of everything in this life and above all the next. May God always shower His choisest blessings on all of you! "

I believe that the following excerpt from my book had a profound effect on the editor. May it touch all those who read the book and lead them to the light of GOD.

“There is no suffering easier to bear or to totally discount than that of others. At times we felt that like some other martyrs we had been gassed or burnt alive. Yet through God’s grace, we had refused to jump from a bridge. We had refused to yield to the devils of despair so hard at work at the anvils of evil.”

“While telling us to ‘get on with our life’ did Hagens and Berman ever wonder how easy or difficult it was for those who suffered from the Holocaust to get on ‘normally’ with their lives rendered so abnormal?”

“If not for those victims’ courage, perseverance and burning desire to expose and search for reparations for crimes of the past, would the world not be a much poorer place today?”

“In fact, enduring individual cases relating to the holocaust, some fifty nine years later, underscore the fact that human suffering has no concept as to where the dividing line lies between the suffering of individuals, of families and that of entire nations. Indeed, because suffering shares a common pain factor, human beings should never assume that there is a dividing line between the pain of one single individual and his family and the pain of an entire nation. For, when one creature suffers, all of creation suffers.”

“Fixing our eyes on yet another world, we understood that it is often in losing that we win.”

God bless,

I love you ALL.

First American Title

Dear All,

Some of you have suggested that it would be a good idea to post excerpts from my book from time to time.

To underscore my claims about First American Title, I include some links to recent articles on First American Title with an excerpt from chapter 5 .

"Title firm to refund $4.6 mil to customers"

"Title Insurers Agree to Sweeping Reforms"

http://www.insurance.ca.gov/0400-news/0100-press-releases/0080-2005/release069-05.cfm

http://www.hud.gov/news/release.cfm?content=pr05-097.cfm

“Apparently the First American senior vice president for claims had endorsed that public company policy. In a letter addressed to me, dated March 24th 1998, James J. Dufficy had stated that his company had no duty vis-à-vis the public to do the ‘correct’ thing.

Some seven years later had James J. Dufficy learnt a valuable lesson from his involvement in our case? On April 27th 2005, Craig Harris of the Arizona Republic reported on yet another scam First American was involved in. Excerpts from the article read:

“First American Title Insurance Co., accused of being involved in a national kickback scheme, will refund $4.6 million to roughly 15,000 Arizona home buyers who bought policies during the past four years.

“The payment is part of a $24 million national settlement First American reached with Colorado regulators, who earlier this year first alleged the company was involved in kickbacks with home builders, brokers, lenders and real estate agents on title reinsurance policies.

“Jim Dufficy, vice president and regulatory counsel for First American Corporatio, the title company's parent said: ‘It was the right thing to do.’"

Does that imply that over the last seven years Dufficy’s sense of values has drastically improved or was Dufficy so cornered with his back to the wall that he had no other option? Because this time, it was not a lone foreigner being shammed, but rather large segments of American citizens. Was Dufficy forced, in order to save face in this instance, to do the “correct” thing?

The Feast of the Assumption

Dear children and grand children,

I am in awesome wonder! Never in my life have I seen the feast of the Assumption of Our Blessed Mother the Virgin Mary being celebrated as I saw it today in Mauritius! Yes in Mauritius! A predominantly Indian and Islamic country, freedom of religion exists to such an extent that August 15th is a national holiday in honor of Our Blessed Mother!!!

By comparison, is it not amazing how in predominantly Christian, 'In God we Trust' America, the so called 'freedom' champion of the world, this feast, as many other religious feasts, is ignored by most and by a government which has succumbed to atheistic pressures and segregated cultural forces and recriminations.

Here without grand standing, grand claims or much fanfare, the government and the population deeply and reverently respect and set time to honor ALL the various religious faiths. It is most edifying! America could learn a lot about faith fellowship, the brilliant politics of the non-discriminatory Government of Mauritius.

My introduction to Assumption day celebration began yesterday. I was surprised when the maid wished me "Happy feast day for tomorrow, Mr. Louis" before she left! Today on my way to church I quickly understood that here the feast of the Assumption shares the stage closely with Easter and Christmas! Most shops were closed. But street vendors offered gorgeous
tropical bouquets of anthuriums and roses as well as all kinds of blue and white birthday cakes (see picture of the one Godda bought) with devotional decorations adorning the cakes! The people, all dressed in their Sunday's best, were joyfully greeting each other and wishing each other 'A blessed feast day'!

There must have been about a thousand people at the 5:30 vigil mass yesterday evening at Sainte Therese in Curepipe. So I thought that there would be lots of room at the 9:30 mass this morning. By the time I got there at 9:10, the church was already virtually full! By 9:20 it was standing room only with people filling the aisles and overflowing outside! There must have easily been two thousand people there. I do not know how many were at the two previous masses or at the 11:00 o'clock mass? But judging by the crowd coming out of the 8:00 mass and the crowd rushing in to attend the 11:00 o'clock mass as I was coming out of the 9:30 at 10:40 I would not be surprised if all masses did not have a minimum crowd of 1500!!! Godda tells me that the 11:00 o'clock maas was even fuller with Cardinal Margeot present!

Neither words, nor pictures could describe the atmosphere. But I am sorry I did not have my camera to show you the crowd. It was the 40th anniversary of the priest's ordination and also the 40th birthday of the organist. So someone addressed a few words to both. The priest's goal at his ordination was: "I will make you fishers of man". Apparently during his 10 years at Sainte Therese and at other parishes he has fulfilled his ordination day commitment to the utmost. This is very apparent. It is reflected by the involvement of parishioners of all ages and the time they dedicate to the church. Ever since I have been here, I have been edified to see how from six years old up, the parishioners participate actively in the vibrant life of the church. Six year olds sing in the children's choir and sometimes join the teenagers as they mime and recite their parts of the gospel every Sunday! This deep involvement from a tender age obviously pays off. Today we heard how the organist has been consistently been involved with the Sainte Therese parish from the age of 8!!! This morning there must have been at least 50 teenagers processing up the main aisle leading the priest to the altar!

Would it not be wonderful to see such involved devotion some day in the mostly secular America of today!

I thank God for giving me this opportunity to witness how much He is still very much alive, growing and reaching out to the youth in some parts of the world!

I pray that if you never get to experience such an August 15th celebration in America, you get some day to experience it or any other feast day involving Catholics and or any other religion in Mauritius. I do not believe that atheists and or other culturally segregated groups have much room to feast here or to impose their agenda on our truly freedom committed government!

For your sake I pray that 'God bless America' again. I also thank Him to have abundantly blessed the family He gave me and my beloved country and its pro-freedom government.

God bless you ALL,

Hugs and kisses from Bopbops.

In Memoriam Leclézio

Thank God, thank Francois for setting an example. Long before the world thought globally, Francois recognized the importance of being at least bilingual on the globe. After the British conquered Mauritius, Francois personally developed an English dictionary for his children while he also taught them English grammar!

Leclézio, do you feel better already?

Is it not amazing what our ancestors can and indeed will do for us if and when we choose to remember them?

Therefore, pray that over the next 155 years your descendants may be at least as numerous as Francois’ are today. Remember how one of Francois’ grand sons took to heart God’s command: “Go… Multiply…” Henry did in deed. Thus Henry and Jenny were abundantly blessed with seventeen children!

Pray also that some of your descendants in the year 2161 will still cherish their catholic faith as much as Francois did from his baptism day in 1771 and as much as some of his descendants still do today! Then, just as we pray to Francois today to intercede for us, let us hope that likewise some of our descendants will pray for and or to us 155 years from now!

Leclézio descendants: We must always remember who are our ascendants?

“They are that multitude of invisible souls interceding for us as we in turn pray and join them in praising the eternal Glory of God in the infinity of time.”

“Thank You dear Lord for the gift of our life, for all those who have passed that gift from You to us and bless all those to whom we may be called to pass on that gift to in the future.”

Blessed be Francois Leclézio.

Francois Leclézio, arrived in Mauritius in 1792 from Brittany. He is buried at ‘Le Cimetiere de l’Ouest’. There, looking at the inscription on the massive solid granite sepulcher, I was transported far from the individualistic society we presently live in.

The inscription read: ‘Famille Leclézio’. That said much about who our ancestor was. Francois, the pioneer of the family did not attach much importance to his personal name or his individual fame. To him, we are all one family. Therefore one word: Family, one name: Leclézio spells it all!

We are one on earth. We are one in heaven. We are one between heaven and earth. How so foreign that concept is to modern culture! In no way did Francois’ sepulcher convey the typical American message: “I am #1! This is my life!” Instead it said: Family is #1! We are one! This is our life! Our life with one another on earth! Our life as one family with God in heaven!

Now some one hundred and fifty five years later, as we pray for our pioneering ancestor ‘Francois Leclézio’, I realize that his spirit has survived over more than a century because of his founding principle of unity. How long will our self-centered modern mentality endure? Does it in fact ensure our insignificance not only vis-à-vis our neighbor but also our irrelevance over time?
As Francois’ patron saint, saint Francis wrote in the 1200s: “It is in giving that we receive…” From Francois we received one concept, one family in one word: Leclézio. May we keep it whole! May we remain undivided! May we as one family pray for unity all over the world! Amen.

Living Faith...

Dear Children and Grand Children,

If..!

This is a different version of 'If.' as written by your now distant cousin, Rudyard Kipling.

If I did not believe with all my heart, all my soul and all my mind in God the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit I would find that so spooky that I would not dare mention it! But because I do believe, I am most grateful for small miracles as they come to shore up our faith and lead us to believe even more when we need it the most!

Have you read Living Faith today!

I swear to God and to you ALL that yesterday when the Spirit led me to write what I did to you, I had NO idea what the reading would be about today!

You will then obviously join me in praising the awsomeness of GOD!

We all join together in wishing Claire a happy feast day today and Lou & Marik a happy anniversary on the 13th!

I love you ALL.

Hugs and kisses from your Bopbops.

P.S. Indeed, the title of the day's reading - One Step at a Time - just stepped out at me now while scanning!!!

Dear Children and Grand Children,

"A thousand mile journey begins with the first step!" So goes the old saying!

As I am nearing the end of my one book writing trip, I often question when, where, why and how did that trip begin?

Regardless of when, where, why and how it began, it is important to recognize that we are all on a trip that is not entirely ours. Nor do we totally control the overall length, our traveling speed, the duration and the final destination of our trip. What is most important to me is to have recorded for you and for our descendants a few of the events we encountered along the way!

As to when, where, why and how the book writing trip began - I have finally chosen to let God answer that question within our individual hearts.

As I review the influences that brought me to record a minute segment of our trip, I can see our pioneering ancestors leaving the Brittany coast to come settle in Mauritius. From there. I could go on and on and indeed begin writing a third book!

Before I get carried away, let me simply say that because your mother and her premature departure loomed larger than life in my mind, I took much pleasure seeing her, seeing you all through the various chapters, the numerous pages, the many paragraphs and the thousands of words that God and Mommy inspired me to write over the last four years!

Indeed it has been a labor of love for love's only sake.

I thank you ALL for your constant support and encouragement.

I hope that some day, after I am long gone a grand child or great grand child or great great, great grand child will discover a copy lying around, will be then curious enough to want to read it, will then actually make time to read it and will then think: "Wow! I am here today because of them, because of Him! Then the question might just pop up in that descendant's mind: "I wonder when, where, why and how did their trip/my trip begin?
At least thanks to that book, I do have some answers!

Let us all hope that, that descendant will stand still, sit down or may be even kneel down and address a remembrance prayer to our intention!

Amen. Allelluia! I love you ALL! Hugs and kisses from your Bopbops who loves you!

P.S. Sorry to keep harassing you about my book journey but I felt very much like sharing today's extra site with you! Can you believe that I created that web page alone!

Here is the link to it: http://lleclezio.googlepages.com/home

Next step will be to create links to it and do an order form with modes of payment.
